My favorite wacky columnist at the NYT, fiery siren, Maureen Dowd, had another insightful post yesterday. Not only does she know Latin, she translated whole works in high school. Psh, whatever Paul Krugman and your Nobel Prize, Maureen ingeniously made the connection between America and Rome because no one has thought to do that until now. Seriously, her column on Sunday was so intelligent, I don't even understand half of it because it's in Latin.
